In Language Arts classes this year I was taught many new skills in writing. These skills are to teach me on how to be a better writer. I have learned many new skills that I will be able to use in the future. These skills have helped me become a better writer. We worked on many different pieces of writing in class, but my favorite one I wrote was my fiction piece.
I titled my fiction piece “Longest Cruise”. I chose my fiction piece because I thought it was a very good piece. I have always been interested in celebrities. I decided that I would be the main character and the story would center on the desire to meet famous people and see singers perform while on board a ship.
I chose a cruise ship because I really wanted to on a very long cruise around the world. I have never been on a long cruise and have always wanted to go. I thought a cruise sounded fun.
I put a climax into my fiction piece. It is when the last but not least we are saving lady antebellum and the Jonas brothers for the best part of the show.
I thought I became a better writer writing this piece. I followed the steps in the writing process beginning with introducing the characters wants or desires. I also thought that was the best piece I have ever written. What I could have done to make it better was that I should have created some obstacles and built the story problem by problem and resolution that wrapped up the story.
Overall, I am very proud of this piece I have written and all the others I wrote this year. I have learned many new writing skills that I will be able to use in the future.
